Continuing Ada Lovelace's Legacy

Let me tell you the story of the one and only Ada Lovelace. She is the muse behind this write up, and she is the first computer programmer! In conjunction with the International Women's Day, I would like to honor the talent and legacy of the woman who paved the way for women programmers like myself.

It has been a year since I dived into full-time programming and made it as an income source. Prior to this year of growth, programming was merely learning the different programming languages in the form of small university projects. Now, I code for a living!

Break the bias

Talking about the theme for this year, I consider it a blessing and amazing luck to be surrounded by women in technology in my office. My team leader is a woman who codes and oversees the team in the best way any team leader could be. My colleagues are talented ladies from mobile developer background to web developers. This just shows that we are breaking the bias of the stereotype where technology is mostly not for women.

I champion women in tech by making the best of my skills as a programmer. As of now, I'm working on projects with React and Python to cooperate the data analytics in a front-end. I see this as an opportunity to grow as an asset for my company and for myself. Thus, taking in the spirit of Ada Lovelace, I look forward to more projects that can bring my programming skills forward.

My fellow ladies, you are amazing in whatever you do! Believe in yourself and treasure those skills <3
