I just finished my personal view on a Solution Architect roadmap. Because, even after three years of my first attempt to do such roadmap, Solution Architect position has became even more popular.
I tried to describe key skills and what to do to improve it, as well as sources and books which can help with Solution Architecture.
The goal of this Road Map is to help in understanding what the Solution Architect role is and how to grow in that direction. I did tens of interviews with professionals who already play the Solution Architect role in different companies.
For me, this guide helps to identify the ways how to grow as a Solution Architect.
Road Map
The RoadMap includes two main parts:
- Roles&Responsibilities. A high-level list of working roles and concrete responsibilities for each.
- Personal skills. Required skills for playing those roles.
Each point of the Road Map will be appropriately described:
- Definition
- Why is it important
- How to improve
- Sources/books/courses
How to contribute
