Which MacBook is better for web development?

Iโ€™m thinking of buying a new MacBook.
Any idea of which one is better for web development? ๐Ÿค”
(If buying Mac Air, Iโ€™ll upgrade the core and RAM. )

  1. Air, 1.2GHz 10th-generation i7, 16G RAM
  2. Pro, 1.4GHz 8th-generation i5, 8G RAM

By the way,
could anyone explain to me whatโ€™s the difference between 1.2GHz and 1.4GHz? Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜…

Hey!๐Ÿ‘‹
I will try to explain as simply as possible. Every second, the processor processes many instructions in the form of complex low-level calculations. The clock frequency determines the number of cycles performed by the processor per second. For example, 1.2 GHz is 1.2 Billion cycles per second. Clock speed is very important for PC performance. But besides it, you need to consider the architecture of the processor and its cache. In this case, it is difficult to say which processor is better, because there is not enough data. But if the processors are of the same generation, then I would prefer Air. Less frequency, but more cache. And also twice as much RAM. I hope that I helped๐Ÿ˜Œ

Thanks for your help. I didn't know the different generations of the core also affect the comparison!
In that case, the comparison should be:

  1. Air, 1.2GHz 10th-generation i7, 16G RAM
  2. Pro, 1.4GHz 8th-generation i5, 8G RAM

Yeah, Air looks better than Pro.
