Building a Real-Time Text Analytics Web App with Python and Streamlit

Introduction

As a BCA 2nd-year student aspiring to become a Web Advocate, i focus on building accessible web experiences. Today, i am sharing my 5th mini-project-a real-time Word & Character Counter Web Application.

The Solution

Many beginner projects stay inside the command terminal. To improve user experience, I designed a lightweight web interface that processes user text dynamically and provides instant structural metrics.

Tech Stack

  • Language: Python 3
  • Framework: Streamlit (For reactive UI state management)
  • IDE: Visual Studio Code

Key Features

  • Dynamic Word Counting: Calculates total words instantly.
  • Granular Character Metrices: Displays total characters with and without spaces.
  • Line Analytics: Automatically tracks paragraph and line breaks.

Future Milestones

Developing this project enhanced my understanding of live UI rendering in VS code. My next step is hosting this applications on cloud servers to ensure public access via a live URL.

Lets Connect!

The source code is successfully updated in my repository. I would love to hear your feedback!
