SimpleSwap Fee Trick
i do about 10 crypto swaps per month. mostly BTC to XMR.
for months i was accepting whatever fee SimpleSwap showed me. then i started paying attention.
floating vs fixed rate
fixed rates have a higher markup. typically 1-2% more than floating.
on a $500 swap:
- fixed rate: lose about $8-10
- floating rate: lose about $3-5
over 10 swaps per month, thats $30-50 difference.
the other trick: timing
swaps are cheaper on weekends. sunday evenings have 30-40% lower network fees.
