Lazy Debugger - Debugging with minimal effort

Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 3: Slow and Steady Submission 🦥

This is a submission for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 3: Slow and Steady

What I Built

As part of my latest developer sprint, I wanted to build something highly practical, ultra-clean, and fast. I built CleanCode Critic: a stunning, side-by-side terminal interface that analyzes code performance flaws, highlights bugs, and offers optimized micro-refactors in real-time. So now you can lazily name variables and let CleanCode Critic fix them for you.

How I Built It

🛠️ The Tech Stack

  • Frontend: HTML5, modern CSS3 (using glassmorphic layers and custom Fira Code typography), and Vanilla JavaScript.
  • Backend: Node.js with Express and CORS to safely obscure our environment layers.
  • AI Orchestration: Google Gemini 3.8 Flash API via Google AI Studio

Why Does Open Innovation Matter?

It takes tokens to analyze code, simple or advanced. So I made something JUST for code, saving free-tier users.

The Lazy Payoff

(I saved 3-5 mins on a long C++ program)
