Tamil Jathagam

I’ve been exploring the intersection of traditional astrology and modern software development. Recently, I started building a Jathagam (birth chart) app focused on generating accurate Tamil horoscope charts based on date, time, and place of birth.visit: onepagehoroscope.com

One of the biggest challenges was handling time zones, geolocation accuracy, and planetary calculations correctly. Even a small time difference can change the Lagna and planetary positions significantly.

While researching astrology APIs and calculation methods, I came across this interesting tool that simplifies birth chart generation and compatibility matching:

It helped me understand how structured horoscope data should be presented — clean UI, fast calculations, and mobile-first design.

Currently, I’m experimenting with:

Accurate birth time conversion (UTC handling)

Nakshatra & Rasi calculation logic

Dasa/Bhukti timelines

Performance optimization for instant results

Clean chart rendering for mobile users

Building a Jathagam app is not just about coding — it’s about combining mathematics, astronomy, cultural understanding, and user trust into one seamless experience.

If anyone here has worked with astrology APIs or astronomical calculation libraries, I’d love to hear your insights.
