A healthcare AI model can have excellent accuracy and still fail to create meaningful healthcare value.
Success should therefore go beyond technical metrics.
We should ask whether the technology improves clinical decisions, reduces meaningful workload, improves access, increases patient engagement, reduces disparities, or improves health outcomes.
For agentic AI, task completion is also not enough.
The important metric is whether automation creates measurable value without compromising safety or human oversight.
Build the technology.
Measure the impact.
Improve what matters.
