GemDesk is a local alternative to notebookLM with additional features like first class video and audio and many additional formats including MS Office.
You load in up to 50 files or URLS and GemDesk gives the Gemini 3 API access across all of them. Students can load in textbooks, lecture notes, video lectures, syllabus, and more and perform operations on all of them simultaneously.
GemDesk is a hackathon project for the Gemini 3 Hackathon, it is written in python using Flet UI. IT caches context to save you tokens and is under active development.

Currently for linux and WSL, should work on mac.
