Hi Tomer, have you heard about daily.dev? We'd love to hear your thoughts on it. It's one of the most loved Chrome Extensions for web devs.

Night Eye

isn't free! But checkout darkreader which is fully free!

Tomer Ovadia • Oct 13 '20

Thanks sounds like great alternative

Shriji • Oct 13 '20

Absolutely, I use it.

Was not expecting an actual good list. Very nice. Going to try a few of these out.
Might I recommend trying out:

wappalyzer: which detects technologies used client and server side
dark reader (set to opt-in per website)
nightTab: a customizable start page, very handy for getting places and fast while looking sleek in the process. (I'm a contributor, a complete over haul is in the pipeline)

Thank u Samuele! Well I also agree about Wappalyzer, this is a great one, sorry I did not include it in the list but I wanted to focus on those extensions that I feel are more handy for everyday rather than using once in a while. As for the other two, definitely great additions! :)

Thanks Tomer for mentioning Checkbot (I'm the developer behind it). 😄 There's more information about Checkbot on the homepage (checkbot.io/) and the list of web best practices it tests for (checkbot.io/guide/). Let me know if you've got any questions.

Sure mate, was happy to mention it :) great work and thanks for the support

I would like you to check some of my recommendations and feel free to add some of them in your list.

📌 Awesome Screenshot & Screen Recorder - As the name says it's really awesome, let's us record and capture browser screen. Although there is a limit for free users but I think most of the people use it for small tasks. Link - chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/...

📌 Color by Fardos - Color Picker - Pick colors from websites, save colors & gradients, get matching shades and tints and create beautiful gradients. Link - chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/...

📌 Volume Master - Control volume of any tab. Link - chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/...

📌 Bookmark Sidebar - Adds a toggleable sidebar with all your bookmarks at the edge of your browser window. Link -chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/...

Hope you find them useful.👍

Hi, I'd like to translate this awesome list to Chinese. Can you give me the permission?

Tomer Ovadia • Oct 28 '20

Hey Jang, thank you for showing this interest. Yes sure, but please do attach a link to the original article :)

Jang Rush • Nov 13 '20

Oh, I forgot to mention that Chinese translation has been published at the end of October: nextfe.com/12-chrome-extensions/ There is a back link to this original article at the beginning of the translated text.
