For me it is really important to have a highly custom menu bar on all of the systems I work with. I want the bar to display exactly the information that I want at a glance and depending on the work I am doing. When I am on my virtual desktop for coding, for example, I want to see how my system is impacted by the code I write, if there are new issues on git, and even system utilization can be a relevant metric for some tasks.
