I love this idea of introducing Value Objects and letting it snowball!
I have heard of other 'hacks' to get an organization to get into DDD. At Paris DDD Meetup, people shared success with bribing an expert (with chocolate for example 😉), or faking an expert! I lately had a discussion with someone who solved the problem when a developer changed his role and became part of the team of domain experts! I wrote a post about this meetup and DDD injection techniques.
