Wow....is it me or does that seem a bit excessive? I mean...5 interviews? Most I had was 2 and a 4 hour "Work-Trial". Is that common where you are from? I could never imagine spending that much time including preparation for a single job opportunity.

Yes, 4 - 5 are common in Tech. I have given 7 as well.
