CodeJourneys Meetup (JAN)

(check out my blog)

Hello everyone!

2020 has been quite the year for everybody and we are all fully feeling the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic at different levels and in different ways.

Based based on direct and indirect experiences, I think that one of the most negative feelings that it's spreading in the developer community around the world is loneliness.

Social contacts have been put on pause: we are all missing the coffee breaks with colleagues, meetups, workshops, conferences, bootcamps or just some funny programming sessions.

At the same time also the usual way to see friends and family has been put on pause as well.

Many of us are lucky to have a job, but so many more of us have to continue to study while looking for work during the pandemic. That can be very frustrating.

What can we do?

I think it's the right time more than ever to invest time and energy to build and support communities.

We should create more (virtual) social opportunities, support each other along any code journey, share learning material, support and inspire other people sharing our personal experiences, build better relationships through chats, virtual coffee breaks, round tables and, why not, "among us" sessions :)

Since I like to think that every single drop in the ocean counts, CodeJourneys makes the first move and planned the next online meetup:

📆 26.01.2021 @ 19:00CET (check the agenda)
