Yesterday I joined a great event at the Cloudflare office on the 88th floor of One World Center, the highest office space in NYC. It felt very fitting for a company with “Cloud” in its name.
The session was led by Scott Jehl, who spoke about how web components and modern web standards can help us move past the performance limits of the last decade. Scott has been building for the web for more than 20 years and has worked with many well-known brands. He is also known for his open-source work, writing, and talks around the world. Now he works at Squarespace, helping make millions of websites fast and accessible.
It was great to learn from him and hear how these tools can make the web lighter, faster, and easier to maintain.
Overall, it was an inspiring day and a nice reminder of how fast the web keeps moving.
