For body-contact and implant-adjacent use, the practical questions are migration risk, biocompatibility evidence, and fit-for-location, not brand shorthand.
If a supplier sheet groups PP-R and TPU together as interchangeable “flexibles,” the label is doing more work than the polymer.
The most useful studio guidance is still anatomical: healing tracts, high-motion sites, and retention wear each place different demands on flexible materials.
