How to write a speaker bio that actually gets you booked for a college fest

A speaker bio that lists every accomplishment in chronological order reads like a resume, and organisers skim resumes — they don't book from them. A bio that gets booked answers one question fast: why this person, for this audience, on this topic.

The structure that works

  1. One line: who you are and what you actually do, today, in plain language.
  2. One or two concrete, checkable credentials relevant to the topic — not everything you've ever done.
  3. One line on what audiences get from you specifically — a live build, a hard-won lesson, a rubric.
  4. A way to reach you, right there, not buried in a linked profile.

Mine, as an example
