CBSE की OSM Checking ने बच्चों का Confidence तोड़ दिया — आखिर कब जागेगा सिस्टम?
हर साल लाखों students Central Board of Secondary Education की board exams देते हैं। बच्चे दिन-रात मेहनत करते हैं, parents उम्मीद लगाते हैं, teachers guidance देते हैं। लेकिन इस बार OSM checking process ने कई बच्चों का confidence ही हिला दिया है।
कई students का कहना है कि answers सही होने के बावजूद marks unexpectedly कम आए। किसी के 95 expected थे और 78 आए, किसी का पूरा calculation सही था फिर भी step marking नहीं मिली। सबसे दुख की बात ये है कि इसका असर सिर्फ marks तक सीमित नहीं रहा — बहुत से बच्चे mentally disturb हो गए, anxiety और depression जैसी situations face कर रहे हैं।
OSM Checking आखिर है क्या?
OSM यानी “On Screen Marking” system। इसमें answer sheets को digitally scan करके evaluators computer screen पर check करते हैं। Idea तो modern और fast checking का था, लेकिन ground reality में कई problems सामने आ रही हैं:
- कई evaluators answers को जल्दी-जल्दी skim करते हैं
- Step marking properly follow नहीं होती
- Long answers में पूरा content पढ़े बिना marks काट दिए जाते हैं
- Maths और Science जैसे subjects में final answer सही होने पर भी unnecessary deductions हो जाते हैं
- Students को transparency नहीं मिलती कि marks क्यों कटे
Technology का use अच्छी बात है, लेकिन अगर उससे बच्चों का future impact हो रहा हो तो system को seriously review करना चाहिए।
सबसे बड़ा नुकसान: Mental Pressure
आज का student पहले ही competition, coaching pressure, career tension और social comparison से जूझ रहा है। ऊपर से अगर मेहनत के बाद unfair checking महसूस हो तो बच्चा emotionally टूट जाता है।
कई parents बता रहे हैं कि:
- बच्चे result के बाद कमरे में बंद रहने लगे
- Self confidence खत्म हो गया
- Social media और relatives के comparison से stress और बढ़ गया
- कुछ students दोबारा answer sheets देखकर रो पड़े
एक exam का result किसी बच्चे की पूरी identity नहीं होता, लेकिन society और system दोनों मिलकर marks को life-and-death issue बना देते हैं।
CBSE को क्या करना चाहिए?
Central Board of Secondary Education को सिर्फ “result declared successfully” बोलकर आगे नहीं बढ़ जाना चाहिए। अगर इतनी बड़ी संख्या में students dissatisfaction express कर रहे हैं, तो reforms जरूरी हैं।
Possible Solutions:
Double verification system
Important subjects में random double checking होनी चाहिए।Better evaluator training
Evaluators को detailed orientation और strict accountability दी जाए।Transparent marking scheme
Students को clearer breakdown मिले कि marks कहाँ कटे।Affordable rechecking process
Re-evaluation इतना costly और complicated नहीं होना चाहिए।Mental health support
Schools और boards को result season में counselling support देना चाहिए।
Marks Important हैं, लेकिन बच्चा उससे ज्यादा Important है
हर parent, teacher और board को ये समझना होगा कि एक student सिर्फ marksheet नहीं है।
अगर checking system की वजह से बच्चे hopeless feel करने लगें, तो ये सिर्फ academic issue नहीं, social issue बन जाता है।
Students से बस एक बात:
अगर marks उम्मीद से कम आए हैं, तो इसका मतलब ये नहीं कि तुम कम capable हो। कई successful लोगों की journey में unfair setbacks आए हैं। System imperfect हो सकता है, लेकिन तुम्हारी potential नहीं।
और CBSE से बस इतना सवाल —
क्या modernization का मतलब सिर्फ fast checking है, या fair checking भी?
