What I Built
I built Nature Quotes AI — Touch Grass Edition, an application designed to encourage people to take mindful breaks from screens and reconnect with the natural world.
The app combines nature-inspired quotes, outdoor missions, a nature card studio, breathing exercises, and nature-inspired soundscapes. It is designed for anyone who wants a gentle reminder to slow down, step outside, and appreciate the world around them.

How I Built It
I used Google AI Studio to develop the application and its features. The project includes a server-side AI integration intended to generate nature quotes and outdoor missions.
The project has been configured to use a Gemma model through Google's API. However, the latest connection test returned a server error and activated the Gemini fallback, so successful live Gemma inference still needs confirmation.

For this project, open-weight AI models offer the possibility of more flexibility in how AI features are developed and deployed. They also encourage learning, experimentation, and community contributions to tools that promote healthier relationships with technology and the outdoors.
