As the next generation of smart robots is set to transform the landscape of robotics, so are the investments in the company, with Atoms, the founder of the robotics venture by Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick, having raised US$1.7 billion in a round led by Andreessen Horowitz. The round also included existing and new investors, such as Bain Capital, Fifth Wall and Uber.
