Inspired by your journey, Jones! I agree with your blog that Serverless kinda turns conventional wisdom on its head. Instead of creating monolith apps, we must embrace microservices and event-driven architecture to take full advantage of Serverless Apps.
I personally find Serverless Framework easier, but I did hear recent updates in CDK (v2 was just released), that makes me wanna try it out too!

I had experimented with Serverless framework but for my production ready projects, I'm into SAM. And yes CDK v2 makes a lot of things easier!! I've tried it out for some personal experiments and it works just perfect.
