I built 12 free life tools with Next.js — tarot, MBTI, dream dictionary, birth chart, and more

I was tired of personality tests that hide results behind a $29 paywall. So I built RealPick — a collection of 12 completely free life tools.

What I built

🔮 Fortune & Divination

• Tarot Reading — Full 78-card Rider-Waite deck, One Card / Three Card / Celtic Cross spreads, narrative interpretation
• Zodiac Horoscope — Daily, weekly, monthly for all 12 signs
• Dream Dictionary — 258 symbols with psychological interpretations
• Western Astrology — Birth chart calculator using real astronomical ephemeris, 3D celestial visualization

🧠 Personality & Psychology

• MBTI Test — 48 questions, full cognitive function stack (not just 4 letters), career recs, famous people
• Psychology Lab — 4 evidence-based tests: Sternberg's Love Triangle, Maslach Burnout, Rosenberg Self-Esteem, VIA Character Strengths
• Love & Attachment — Attachment style + love language, 8 personas
• Blood Type Personality — All 16 pair combinations

• BMI Calculator — Body fat estimation, BMR/TDEE, Imperial/Metric
• Random Wheel Spinner — 3D canvas, weighted odds, elimination mode
• Face Reading — Physiognomy with 3D parametric head model
• Personal Color — 4-season analysis with draping simulator

Tech Stack

• Framework: Next.js 15 + React 19
• Deployment: Vercel
• Tarot shuffle: Fisher-Yates algorithm
• Birth chart: Astronomical ephemeris data (not AI-generated)
• All client-side — no user data collected, no accounts needed
• Shareable cards — every result generates a downloadable image

Why I built this

Every time I found a personality test online, it was the same pattern:

1. Answer 30 questions
2. "Enter your email to see results"
3. "Unlock full analysis for $29"

I wanted to prove that you can build premium-quality tools and give them away for free. No signup, no paywall, no ads.
