Every day, someone would message me asking for information that already existed somewhere else. I'd open one system, search for the details, copy them into a message, and send the answer. Then another person would ask the same question. I was essentially functioning as a human interface between systems. So I used Greta to prototype a small tool that made the relevant information easier to access. The first version focused on one common request. I tested it with a few colleagues and noticed which information they searched for most often. That guided the next revision. Soon, fewer questions required my involvement, and the team could find answers without waiting for me. The tool wasn't especially complicated. Its value came from removing a repeated interruption. I hadn't realized how much time I was spending on these tiny requests until I tried to eliminate them. Building with Greta helped me turn an annoying personal workaround into something the whole team could benefit from. It also changed how I looked at repetitive work. If people keep asking you for the same information, maybe the solution isn't to answer faster. Maybe it's to build a better way for them to find it themselves.
