I am happy to say I'm still learning on a daily basis via freeCodeCamp. Things have progressed in the Responsive Web Design Certification to include the head element, metadata, figcaptions, and footers.
The head element comes before the body and should hold the title of your website, along with metadata. The meta element uses the following format:
<meta attribute="value">
Figcaption is used alongside the figure element in order to display a caption for an image. The freeCodeCamp example is below:
<figure>
<img src="image.jpg" alt="A description of the image">
<figcaption>A cute cat</figcaption>
</figure>
I must admit, I sometimes forget about the footer element, so it was nice to get a refresher. It can often contain information surrounding copyright, how to contact the author and so on. Always add a footer after the main element.
Yesterday also saw me complete another lab, this time for a recipe card. My example passed all the tests, though I wouldn't say you could actually cook the dish using it! I enjoyed the lab all the same though.
Still, back to theory today with HTML Fundamentals that include div elements and classes. I'll be sure to share my thoughts on those next time!
