While I have previously mentioned that I am working through the freeCodeCamp curriculum, like everyone else, I've interests outside of learning.
Gaming has been a big part of my life for more decades than I care to mention. With my desire to migrate from Big Tech this year, all the PC games I purchase have Linux versions and most are from indie developers.
It was my love for indie games that lead me to itch.io, though I found myself drawn to the solo Tabletop Role-Playing Games published there. This was helped by Dan Qui Dam maintaining The Hermits Club, which is a list of such titles available on the platform. I have based most of my downloads on that list.
Through playing these tabletop games, I've had to learn new rulesets. I also hope to review these titles one day via a blog, so programming and webdev come back into play. This trio is never far away it seems!
Time spent with family and friends are the true exceptions to my life within code. I also try to connect with nature through long walks, finding peace and quiet for my ever active mind. I often volunteer within the local community as well.
I'd be interested to hear how other members of the DEV Community enjoy their life outside of learning. Please feel free to share!
