What is changing on 15 June For most of the Claude API's commercial history, teams on Claude.ai Max and Team plans operated with a blended usage model: a single quota pool covered both conversational usage on the Claude.ai interface and programmatic calls made via the API. A developer could prototype in the chat UI, run the same underlying model via the API in their codebase, and have both draw from the same monthly allowance. That changes on 15 June 2026. Per Anthropic's June 2026 changelog, Agent SDK and programmatic agent calls made under a Max or Team subscription plan are being moved to a separate credit pool from the subscription's conversational allowance.
