I always quit at the exact same point. Somewhere around rep 15, my brain decides "that’s enough" — and a normal counter just sits there watching.
So I built RivalRep, a web app that counts your push-ups and pull-ups through your phone camera and gives you someone to actually compete against:
Your Ghost: An exact replay of your personal best. Not just a static number, but every rep and pause played back in real time. You literally watch your past self pull ahead.
Bots that learn your weak spots: An adaptive bot studies your past sets and intentionally speeds up right where you usually fade. It’s annoyingly effective.
Live Duels: Send a friend a quick link and go head-to-head in real time. They don’t even need an account to join.
3 Challenge Modes: Classic (most reps in 1 min), Survival (one rep every 5 seconds or you’re out), and Time Trial.
It also includes a training plan that automatically adapts to your feedback and progress!
Quick FAQs:
Is it free? Yes, completely free.
Do I need to download an app? No. It runs directly in your browser (iPhone, Android, or laptop webcam). You can also add it to your home screen like an app.
Privacy / Camera usage? Pose detection runs 100% locally on your device. No video or image data is ever uploaded anywhere.
Do I need an account? No. You can start training immediately. Accounts are only required for saving backups or dueling friends.
It’s a solo project, so it’s definitely not perfect yet!
Thats why i’d love your honest feedback about it!
What didn't worked? What wasn't as clear as it had to be? Were there any bugs or errors you found? Please tell me for improving my app!
