I'm Rohit, a fullstack developer who just joined.
What I do: Backend and security work, mostly in Go (Fiber), PostgreSQL, and Valkey/RabbitMQ.
What I'm into: Anti-fraud systems, API hardening, self-hosted infrastructure, and squeezing performance out of data heavy services.
Here to: Share what I learn building and securing production systems, and pick up ideas from you all.
In my 12+ years in tech I have worn multiple hats, just skimming through a few of them
Started as a MIS developer coding in VBA+Excel, later switching to PHP+MySQL based solutions
Got into web development using PHP+MySQL in LAMP stack - used codigniter3, laravel to create web-apps
Got into functional programming with Python - AI/ML, Data Science, Web development, POC creation and tooling
Switched Python for NodeJS for web-development/API based softwares wanted speed :)) while still using python for all other tasks that NodeJS was made for. Saw JS evolve from callbacks to promises being included in
stdlib, same with the futuristic es6 evolutionSwitched again
:)))from NodeJS to GoLang for its easy to use parallelism (GoRoutines) and for its single, standalone native binary (I love speeeeeed 🚀)
I mostly use reactJS or its spiritual successor NextJS for webapps, though personally love VueJS/NuxtJS and other Evan You's projects...
