The State of HTML 2024 Survey is Now Open

TL;DR: the 2024 State of HTML survey is now open!

When we started working on the first-ever State of HTML last year, I have to confess that my first thought was “what is there to say about boring old HTML”?

Turns out, there's a lot, especially since we decided to broaden the scope of the survey beyond just pure HTML, to the web platform was a whole.

From browser APIs, to accessibility best practices, to web components, to, yes, new HTML elements, it's pretty incredible to see how much stuff there is to learn – and that's before you even start writing your first line of CSS, or installing your first JavaScript library!

And that's exactly what makes this survey so important: not only is it a way to review what's new and make sure you're not missing out on major new features; but its results are also used by browser vendors (as part of initiatives such as Interop 2024) to inform their roadmaps.

So take the survey today, and don't forget to join us in a couple months for the results!
