How to become expert in what you are doing/Liking.

Hi Everyone, I know it will sound little weird but I really wants some help from you guys.

I like Ruby on Rails and finds it's interesting and I wanted to be an expert in this but Don't know what should I focus more?.What should I study? Where should I put more focus?

Can someone help me out?
