I failed as a software developer. When I started learning,I dont know where to start and what to start. Even before I started learning basics I was pushed to debug the codes. There where I failed at first... No wonder you will lose hope in leaning when you stuck in between 1000 lines of code. First thing comes in your mind "ask people for help". This phase keep on repeating in mind every single time. So that why I failed.

You will only fail if you give up. Everybody has his own peace. It is ok to feel exhausted and take some rest. But don't give up. Go back to the task whenever you feel rest again.
