Use Guided Mode when:

• You're new to a template
• The report has many required fields
• You want to make sure nothing is missed
• You're training someone on the process

Use Freeform Mode when:

• You know the template well
• You want to describe a situation naturally
• The information comes to you in a different order
• You're documenting something unexpected

The 3-Report Rule

Try Guided Mode for your first 3 reports with any new template. Once you know what fields exist, switch to Freeform for maximum speed.

Pro tip: You can switch modes mid-report if you need to.
