Every Way to Get Free Bitcoin, Ranked by How Fast You Actually Get Paid
Google "free bitcoin" and you get the same list everywhere: faucets, surveys, airdrops, "learn and earn," cashback. What no list tells you is the part that matters — how long until the money is actually in your hands, and what it costs you to get there.
So here is the same list, ranked by speed to spendable money, with real numbers I checked in November 2026. Not what the ads promise. What testers and the platforms themselves report.
#1 — Exchange signup bonuses: fastest real dollars, but not free
Coinbase pays new users $10 to $2,000 in bitcoin after a first crypto purchase of at least $50 — and 99% of people get $10 to $100, not the headline number. Kraken pays $25 after you deposit and trade $100, or a random $5 to $200 draw. That money can land in days, which is why this tops the list.
The fine print is the whole story, though. Every one of these requires identity verification, and a purchase or deposit first. Some bonuses sit in a 30- to 180-day holding window before you can move them out. So: fastest dollars, but it is not free money and it is not anonymous. If you have an ID and $50 you can spare, this is the quickest win on the list. If you have neither, skip to #2.
Realistic take: $10–$100 once, in days. Costs: an ID check and a $50+ first purchase.
#2 — Cointiply: the best no-deposit option
Cointiply has paid users since 2018 — over $12 million in crypto rewards, by its own count. You earn Coins from surveys, games, videos and a faucet: 10,000 Coins equals $1. Independent testing in October 2026 found casual use earns about $5.50 a week, roughly $20–$25 a month; focused use, mostly games, reaches $35–$40 a month. Minimum withdrawal is $3 in Litecoin, Dogecoin or Dash, and $5 in Bitcoin.
No deposit, no ID to start. The catch: your first withdrawal can be held for up to 45 days, and some users report accounts suspended right at the withdrawal point. It is slow, small money — but it is real, and it is the best option if you are starting with nothing.
Realistic take: $20–$40 a month. First cash: a few days to 45 days.
#3 — FreeCash: bigger ceiling, but the first payout needs your ID
FreeCash is the biggest name in the get-paid-to space: 80 million users claimed, $300–$500 million paid out since 2020, 4.7 stars from 250,000+ Trustpilot reviews. Its own homepage says most users earn "a few dollars up to around $50 in a typical month." Independent month-long tests found casual users at $10–$40 a month, and moderate users running one or two game offers at $60–$200 a month.
So why is it #3 and not #2? Two reasons. First, your first cashout requires identity verification — so much for no-ID. Second, Apple and Google both pulled the app in April 2026 after investigations into deceptive ads, and only reinstated it in May and June. It pays, but go in knowing the ID check is waiting at the door, and that some "high-paying" offers only pay if you spend money inside the game first.
Realistic take: $10–$50 a month casual, up to ~$200 if you grind game offers. First cash: after an ID check.
#4 — ZBD: play games, get sats instantly — tiny amounts
ZBD is a Lightning gaming app: play games like Bitcoin Miner and Coin Master, do quests and surveys, earn sats. It reports over 2 million downloads and more than 5 billion sats paid out. Cashout is instant over Lightning with no minimum — that is genuinely the fastest withdrawal on this list.
The amounts are the smallest, though. Realistic earnings are $1–$10 a month for casual play. One of its games, Bitcoin Miner, has paid over $3.7 million to players in total, but with a daily cap around 330 sats. Treat it as a game that happens to pay, not a job.
Realistic take: $1–$10 a month. First cash: instantly, no minimum.
#5 — Learn-to-earn: free crypto for watching videos
Coinbase Earn pays up to around $200 in free crypto for watching short videos and taking quizzes. It is genuinely free — no purchase, no grinding. The catch is the same as #1: you need a verified exchange account first, so it is ID-gated, and the good quizzes run out. Do it once, collect, move on.
Realistic take: up to ~$200 once, while the quizzes last. Costs: an ID check.
#6 — Cashback: only if you were going to spend anyway
Lolli pays 3% to 30% back in bitcoin at 25,000+ online stores, averaging around 7%, with a roughly $15 minimum withdrawal. Fold's credit card pays 1.5% back in bitcoin, uncapped, on every purchase. These are real — but they are not income. They only pay you for money you were already spending, and Fold's card is US-only with a credit check. Never spend extra to "earn" cashback. That is the store winning, not you.
Realistic take: a few dollars a month on normal spending. First cash: weeks, after the minimum.
#7 — Build something: slowest to pay, highest ceiling
This is the tier I actually live in, so here are my receipts from the last month:
- A digital store: 6 products, 0 sales.
- An API marketplace: 8 endpoints at $0.001 a call, 0 paid calls.
- A marketplace stall on Lightning: 3 listings, 0 orders.
- A podcast with sats streaming: 3 episodes, 0 sats.
- An airdrop program: 50 points, value unknown, no cash-out date.
Everything works. Nothing has paid — yet. Building has the highest ceiling on this list and the slowest first dollar, because revenue is people times trust times a reason to pay, and I started with zero people. No ID, no deposit, no card needed. Just time and an audience you do not have yet.
Realistic take: $0 in month one. Ceiling: the only tier without one.
The scams to walk away from
Anything that asks you to deposit bitcoin first, send crypto to "verify" your wallet, or share your seed phrase or private key is a scam — full stop. "Double your BTC" sites, "anti-sybil fees" to claim an airdrop, and "MOD APK unlimited coins" downloads (those steal logins) all belong in the same bin. A real platform pays you. It never charges you to get paid.
So what should you actually do?
If you need money this week and you have an ID and $50: take the exchange signup bonus. If you have no ID and no money: Cointiply for steady small earnings, ZBD for instant tiny ones. If you want more than pocket money: accept that you are in tier #7, building something and finding the people for it — and that the first month will probably look like my scoreboard.
I will keep publishing my own numbers here, zeroes included. If this ranking saved you an hour of grinding the wrong thing, supporting the post with coins would be the first dollar this whole experiment has ever made — and I would write about that too.
