It seems that the repository that is referred to (github.com/schoren/example-bazel-c...) is available on github.com/speak2jc/examples-bazel... with a few changes ...
Months learning the weird Bazel syntax, creating BUILD, WORKSPACE and MODULE files, pulling remote rules, work out what the hell gazelle is, remember the bazel commands and still have to use docker commands anyway - so much easier than dealing "with ugly Dockerfiles". Warped.
