Once a NotebookLM library grows, I stop relying on notebook titles alone.
The system I use has three layers. First, notebook names follow a predictable pattern such as topic, project and year. Second, folders and tags group related work without forcing every item into one hierarchy. Third, important citations, cards and prompts keep enough specific wording to be searchable later.
Folders solve browsing. Search solves retrieval. They work better together than either one alone.
The NotebookBloom folders guide is already near the first page of Google at an average position around 9, but its CTR is only 0.47%. I am keeping the URL and improving the answer, screenshots and title instead of creating another competing article.
Implementation check
Before publishing or shipping this workflow, I verify it against a real notebook, keep the limitation visible, and make sure the next action returns to evidence.
