Hrishi, thanks for the response. I was doing tech consulting, now I am about to start contracting. Problem is there is a glass ceiling in big consulting firms when you are not from right set of schools and you want to stay in technical areas only. The fredom to pick your work attracted me most and I think I calculated the risks coming from downsides correctly. Let us see how it goes.

Interesting that you're switching from consulting to contracting. Usually people go the other way. What kind of contract work are you doing?
