Founder here. Our startup just launched a service that lets you POST images & PDFs and returns recognized text as JSON. That's right, we're attempting to compete with Google (ooh!) and Amazon (ahh!). The service is a direct competitor to their respective products, Vision and Textract, but comes at a third of the cost.
I know, you're probably thinking, "There's a catch, right? The accuracy must be lower, the service must be slower, something has got to be worse." But alas, none of that is true. Through lots of hard work and research, we have developed a secret sauce that lets us provide the same, high-quality service (yes, it can accurately recognize human handwriting --- sometimes even cursive).
