Recruiters search booleans, not keywords

Recruiters do not read your resume the way a human reads a novel. They run queries through an applicant tracking system using boolean operators like Python AND (Django OR FastAPI) NOT junior. If your application lists technologies as a random inventory list at the bottom of the page, the query misses the connective tissue.

Context is what makes a boolean match stick.

A single keyword passes an initial keyword scan, but a project sentence passes the logic of the search. If the recruiter looks for FastAPI production experience, listing FastAPI in a skills block is weak. Writing that you migrated a payment service from Flask to FastAPI under load gives the query terms proximity.

Proximity rules the search results. Most search bars score hits based on how close your keywords sit to the verbs that describe your actions. Put the technology in the sentence where you used it, at the scale you used it. Write for the shape of the query, not the length of your word list.
