USDC on Solana settles in seconds, and the network fee is a fraction of a cent. The buyer pays that fee, not you. With Solana Pay you don't need Coinbase Commerce, BitPay or any processor. The buyer sends USDC straight to your wallet.
What you need
- A Solana wallet address. Phantom, Solflare or Backpack all work. Use a dedicated receiving wallet.
- A USDC token account on that wallet. Receive any small USDC amount once to create it.
- A checkout that shows a Solana Pay QR code and verifies the payment.
The payment link
solana:YOUR_WALLET?amount=19&spl-token=EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v&reference=UNIQUE_KEY&label=My%20Store
EPjFWdd5...Dt1v is the official USDC mint. Always check this exact address. Anyone can create a token named "USDC".
Confirming the payment
Look up the transaction by its reference with getSignaturesForAddress. Then confirm that your wallet's USDC balance for that mint went up by at least the price. Do this on a server. A free Cloudflare Worker is enough.
USDC vs. card processors
| Card (Stripe) | 2.9% + 30ยข, chargebacks, payout delays |
| USDC via Solana Pay | ~$0.001 network fee paid by the buyer, no chargebacks, instant |
