I own both whiteboard and a small glass board at home. Here are my pros n cons based on my experience.

Whiteboard

Pros:

• Much cheaper compared to glass board of the same size.
• Most boards are magnetic so you can use magnets to hold paper notes etc.,
• Sticky notes tend to stick for a longer time on the whiteboard than glass board. (Maybe it depends on the quality of the sticky notes)
• Multiple color dry markers look better in whiteboard than glass board (If you use multiple color markers)

Cons:

• Need to have a cleaning liquid to erase properly. Particularly if you let your writings for longer time, it tends to leave stains.

Glassboard

Pros

• Very easy to erase no matter the time you let it be.
• Aesthetic look

Cons:

• All the pros of Whiteboard. :D

I have a smaller glass board that I use for quick notes and a big whiteboard that I use for thinking aloud.
