A Guide to Reviewing 3D Drawings on Mobile

A lot of design-review friction comes down to tools, not talent. A CAD viewer that fits the way your team already works removes most of it.

Step 1: Standardize your markup
Agree a colour convention with the team - red for clashes, blue for queries, green for approved - so markup reads the same to everyone.

Step 2: Batch your reviews
Handle several drawings in one sitting so feedback goes out together and nothing sits half-reviewed over a weekend.

Step 3: Annotate in context
Draw lines, arrows, and rectangles and drop text notes right where the problem is. Multi-color markup keeps different comment types visually separate.

Step 4: Add a watermark before sharing
Apply a text or image watermark and tune its transparency, position, and size. It keeps shared drawings traceable without hurting legibility.

Tip: measure twice on anything heading to fabrication. Mobile tools shine at verification, not at the final cut.

The tools are only half of it - the habit is marking up as you go instead of saving it all for later. A CAD viewer makes that habit easy.
