How to Set Up Fonts for Email and Newsletter Signatures

If you have ever downloaded a font and then had no idea where it went, this is for you. Below is the full workflow — discovery, preview, install, and organisation — done with font keyboard on iPhone and iPad.

Clean up what you never used
Every few months, remove the fonts you installed but never reached for. A tidy collection in font keyboard is a collection you will actually open.

Check it at the size you will really use
In font keyboard, adjust the preview size to match the real use case. A heading font should be tested large; body text should be tested small. Many good-looking typefaces fall apart at 11pt, and this is the fastest way to catch that.

Give each project its own set
Rather than one giant list, keep small sets inside font keyboard — one for your brand, one for personal notes, one for client work. Small curated sets get reused; giant lists get ignored.

Do not mix too many families
Two families is usually enough, three is the ceiling. When in doubt, pick one strong display font and one neutral body font and let them do their jobs.

If two fonts are tied, pick the one that looks better at the smallest size you will use.

The whole process is a few minutes on your phone with font keyboard. Start with one project, one font, and build from there — that is how a font system actually gets built.
