Your AI Coding Agents Can Share Code. But Can They Share Context?

I’ve been thinking about something that happens more often as AI coding becomes part of the daily workflow.

You start a project with one AI coding agent.

Then you switch to another.

The code is still there.

The files are still there.

But somehow, you’re back to explaining things.

Why this architecture?
What have we already tried?
Which approach was rejected?
What are we currently working on?
What should NOT be changed?

The interesting part is that this isn't really a code-sharing problem.

It's a project handoff problem.

How do you handle this when switching between AI coding agents?

Do you maintain a context file, use documentation, rely on Git history, or just explain everything again?
