We put our x402 shop behind an MCP server

After quite a lot of research and testing, we've come to one conclusion: x402 buyers don't show up on their own. Behind every agent that buys, there's a person who set it up. That's why we've published an MCP server, so any agent can use our services and pay per use, with no account and no API key.

Before signing anything, it reads the price and compares it with the limit set by the wallet's owner. It pays on Base, and if no wallet is configured it doesn't pay, it only shows the price. The tools are read live from the shop, so a new product shows up without updating anything.

As of today we haven't made a real sale, one that isn't a test, but the experiment is on the right track, and that's why we're sharing how the process is going.
