Discussion: Web Performance and Creative APIs

The rise of specialized, browser-based creative tools is fundamentally changing how designers work. We no longer need to open a 2GB application just to apply a specific texture or effect. Technologies like Glitch Studio are demonstrating that niche design workflows—like retro digital art and glitch effects—can be handled with high performance using modern Web APIs. The real question is: as these tools become more atomized, will we see a decline in 'all-in-one' suites? I'd love to hear if others are moving their creative pipelines to the browser or if you still find the desktop indispensable for performance-heavy tasks.
