I know I promised in my earlier posts that I would publish a blog every week by Monday at 11:59 PM IST. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to stick to that schedule.
But hey, imperfect action is always better than waiting for perfection. So, here's a combined update covering the past three weeks!
🚀 Sanity AI Hackathon
I participated in the Sanity AI Hackathon, where I worked on two projects across different tracks:
- MoneyVerse — A financial literacy game for kids, developed for Track 2.
- Budget-Bites — A project I started for Track 1 but couldn't complete within the given timeframe.
Although I couldn't finish everything I had planned, the experience gave me an opportunity to experiment, build, and learn along the way.
🧠 FalkorDB Hackathon by WeMakeDevs
I also participated in the FalkorDB Hackathon organized by WeMakeDevs, where I built Nihingo, a Japanese language-learning app.
I'll be sharing a more detailed blog post about the project soon, including what I built and what I learned during the process.
Apart from these projects, I experimented with a few other ideas for different tracks. Unfortunately, I couldn't complete all of them, but each attempt taught me something new.
🔍 Exploring Open Source
Besides hackathons, I spent some time exploring open-source repositories and trying to understand how real-world projects are structured.
Some of the repositories I explored were:
I forked and starred these repositories and started digging into their codebases to understand how they work under the hood.
There's something exciting about exploring projects built by other developers. You get to discover different approaches to problem-solving, learn new concepts, and see how ideas translate into actual code.
🎉 Beyond Code
Of course, these past few weeks weren't just about coding and hackathons!
I explored and learned a lot of new concepts while also taking some time to enjoy the Durga Puja festivities. It's always nice to step away from the screen, recharge, and enjoy life outside development.
👋 Wrapping Up
These three weeks were a mix of building projects, experimenting with new ideas, exploring open source, and enjoying some festive moments.
Not everything went according to plan, and I didn't complete every project I started. But I'm learning to appreciate the process rather than focusing only on the outcomes.
The goal isn't to be perfect every week. It's to keep showing up, keep building, and keep learning.
Thanks for reading! 😊
