I’ve known about this ❤️ feature on YouTube for a long time, but Today while reading comments, I suddenly thought—DEV.to should have something like this too. 🤣

On YouTube, the channel owner can heart any comment. It would be fun if authors on DEV.to could also ❤️ comments on their articles.

It’s just a small feature, but I think it could be a nice addition. 👀

There's no translation button on YouTube... or is there? As a user of numerous VPN servers - where the interface language is determined by your IP address - I've never seen a comment translation feature 😑

Ah, I see! DEV already has reactions for comments (❤️like button), but having a special heart 💘 from the author would be a little different.

It would make it easy to see which comments the author especially liked, and I think that could make discussions more fun too 😸

That kind of feature would be a nice addition!

Divya, this would actually be such a fun little addition 😊 Sometimes a heart is all you need instead of typing out a whole reply. Small feature, but I'd definitely use it! ❤️

A like says “good comment.”
A heart from the author says “I saw this and genuinely appreciated it.” ❤️

Tiny feature, but those tiny social signals can make a community feel much more human.
Now we just need DEV.to to add it before this post gets 100 comments asking for it. 😂
