What if putting your website on a map could also help a country climb a global ranking?
We built The Map Challenge, an interactive world map where countries compete for support.
How it works
Visitors can explore the map and country rankings for free.
Sponsors choose a country and a public map location, add a display name and an optional website URL, and make a one-time contribution starting at $5.
Each confirmed contribution:
- Places a public marker on the map.
- Can include a link to the sponsor’s website.
- Adds points to the selected country.
- Helps that country climb the global ranking.
There is no subscription.
Why a world map?
Most website directories are lists. We wanted to create a more visual and playful way to discover projects.
The long-term challenge is to place at least one confirmed sponsor from every country on the map.
We are still at an early stage and learning how clearly the idea is understood by new visitors.
You can explore it here:
When you open the website, is the concept immediately clear? We would appreciate honest feedback about the first impression and the map experience.
