I'm working remote and came here looking for a virtual coffee machine.
Actually, I'm now between jobs learning Rust, but my last remote job was tough, as I was lucky to get two email interactions with others per week. I was the only dev, and the stakeholders completely trusted me, keeping themselves otherwise preoccupied. I'm an introvert, but that model just isn't sustainable for me.
I'm also an amateur but published spider taxonomist who does educational programs, so I'll talk spiders any time.

I'm Gaël. I used to live and work in Paris and Berlin but now I'm based in La Réunion (small island North-Est of Madagascar). I have spent these last 5 years in the PropTech and the 10 years before in FinTech (which hasn't this fancy name back in these days ;) ). Mostly C-level positions in Tech/Product/Data/Operation. I have a Master in economics that I never put in use and I learnt IT engineering from scratch on the field which made me a 100% IT generalist.
I currently have switched my career to focus 100% on digital sustainability after discovering how polluting my beloved Tech industry was! I launched a small Podcast Green I/O focusing on this challenge. I also joined a non-profit using a 3h serious game called the Digital Collage to raise awareness about the environmental footprint of our digital world.
I am a big fan of skiing (why a tropical island then?) and hiking (ok I understand why La Réunion!).
I'm looking for meaningful discussion on Sustainability, Green Coding, Green Hosting, etc. I'm always eager to learn :)
