Hi, everyone! Tech writer here. Finally making time to go back to web development. How's everyone?
Welcome to DEV!
Thank you for the warm welcome!
What projects are you looking at / planning on getting back into?
Hi, Matthias! Mostly front-end since I have experience in that area. Currently I'm studying Python with a goal of getting into machine learning and AI for chatbots. How about you?
Good stuff! Best of luck with it. I'm currently on the Jamstack train, destination unknown haha
Keep grinding. 👍
That's an awesome beginning! Great to see that you are using git from the start.
Yayyy great progress there!
Keep us posted on your learning journey!
Hi I am also new and getting back to code for myself. Your design on netlify looks good. I had to double check the url :)
I like your web page. Welcome to Dev.to.
Hello people!
I'm Lidia, getting back to programming after quite a break.
I used to be an Android developer for two years, suffered from a heavy WHAT AM I EVEN DOING HERE kinda syndrome, gave up, focused on my family for a bit, and after some time decided to give programming another chance. This time with JS and React and web development in general.
I made a dev.to account to share my WTFs and aha moments, peek at other people's programming journeys and obviously learn about stuff!
Heyyyyy welcome to DEV and into the wonderful (and maybe too big) world of web development.
Definitely share your insights and wtf's here. Keen to read your posts coming from a mobile dev perspective.
Looking forward to the WTF Posts :D. Have fun. I am also starting with react.
Hello. Welcome back to the world of programming.
haha I ask myself the same almost everyday! somehow still going! welcome to Dev (though I literally just started!)
Hi! I am a Junior Full Stack Developer looking for learn more, hope you are doing well!
Hello :) I'm also a Junior Full Stack Developer (in Javascript), if you're interested in some pair programming, it could be really nice !
Hello Morgan, nice to e-meet you!
how is going your journey as a junior? i am studying with scrimba and codeacademy now :)
we can do some pair programming of course, what project are you working on?
I'll DM you :)
Hello can I learn a thing or two from you I'm new to programming
I am junior as well but I have learned several things this year:
taking breaks is important no matter how much you want to learn quickly with breaks will be better!
it is important to do code challenges every day, you can use: hackerank, codebytes or codewars, although there are many more.
and i like very much to study with codeacademy and scrimba.
Happy coding!
Good morning! Happy to be here. I wanted to become more involved in the developer community, write more, and learn from everyone else.
Same here. Have fun :)
Welcome to DEV!
Good morning!
Hi, I'm sure you will.
Hi all-I’m darlin. I learned about this community from a woman in my web dev group. I have been interested in html css since the MySpace days and just started learning JavaScript this year. I am in a full stack bootcamp. Currently the course is react. Just finished bootstrap. I love being creative, looking for solutions and being focused on coding.
Let's go and keep grinding :). Post your first projects here. People will be happy to share opinions and help :)
Heya all,
Just joined this community and wish to say Hi to you all...
Exploring this site for now, hope it has great opportunities for learning something from experienced devs as I'm a beginner :D
Hope everyone's doing great
It surely has. Just scrolling through the Feed got me some interesting posts I immediately saved :). Happy coding :)
I was introduced to Dev.to when I came to SFO to attend Developer Week 2019, but didn't feel like joining the site.
This post brought me back to this site today and when I saw it, I thought I should try out the site once.

I like your post about sass. Definitely agree. I mean Sass is the next logical step when working on bigger projects :)
Thank you so much bro, absolutely I really loved using Sass after knowing it... it made my life a lot easier :D
Hi, Just checking the place out, seems pretty fun so far.
Very fun indeed :)
It's great here.
Hi everyone! Happy to be here.
I am a Java developer since more than 10 years.
These last few years I discovered Kotlin and it rocks!
So I made pro and personal projects in Kotlin and I wanted to share my experiences.
I also like everything about front-end development.
And right now I'm interested in the Cloud.
In short, a real fan of development ;-)
I've just published my first post about my personal project spring-data-search!
I recently released the new version 1.0.1.
Tell me if you like this project :-)
Welcome. Glad to here you like FE development :D. I have noe clue how this worms what you posted but keep grinding :)
Sorry, I didn't see your message before.
My project is a library to be integrated in a back-end application.
This library automatically exposes a REST endpoint to search on the entities present in your project.
It is not necessary to develop a lot, no Repositories, no Controllers. Everything is made for you.
And moreover you can use a powerful query language that allows you to finely search the data ;-)
Spring Data Search 1.0.1
Hello, GitHub code review bot here. Beep boop beep and all that.
I'm here to reduce dev effort during code review by automating the discovery and fixing of code smells.
That look great! You should write a post about it if you haven't already.
Your wish is granted :) dev.to/djangodoctor/django-code-im...
I just took a look. It's really good.

Hello!
I'm Nicole and I've recently completed #100DaysOfCode, completing Angela Yu's Web Development Udemy Bootcamp, and I loved it! Really enjoying the learning journey so far.
Had a little bit of experience during college and university with VB, C# and Python, and some basic HTML as a pre teen with Piczo websites and one of my courses at school as well 😂
My current project is to build my own personal website, and also some other fun personal projects to improve my skills and get creative.
My career goal is to become a software engineer after finishing my graduate programme, mainly using C#
This seems like an awesome community so I'm excited to be a part of it!
Hey Guys,
Join me in introducing me to DEV!
I'm a newcomer, just wanted to say Hi to everyone.
I'm a passionate Software Engineer worked in multiple domains for the last 4 years in IT world, contributed to open source before that.
Now wanted to make my hands dirty again !!
Hi everyone!
I am an aspiring web developer that fully embarked on this learning journey 7 months ago. Since then I've refreshed my knowledge of HTML and CSS. Then learned Sass, Javascript, and React JS.
Two months ago I started the 100 days of code challenge and since then my learning curve has exponentially increased.
I decided to post updates, finished projects, and all sorts of stuff I'll be working on here on dev.to too!
I'll be also sharing other inspirational self-development concepts I have stumbled upon during these times with you.
If you want to connect with me and follow my work you can find me at twitter.com/_guarmo
Really glad to be part of the community!
Hi, Friends!.
I'm a student interested in front-end web development. Found some free time to work on Web development( Due to the pandemic). Please guide me through this journey. Any suggestions will be accepted with a smile :)

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well and safe during these times.
I lost my retail job due to covid which, though financially stressful, has been a bit of a blessing in disguise as I decided to completely reskill and learn to code!
I'm an absolute code newbie - been learning HTML and CSS for a few weeks now.
I'm excited to be here!
Howdy! I really enjoyed some of the #DevDiscuss threads in twitter and thought it'd be a fun community to join. ✨
Is there a theme or prompt ideas list? I've been meaning to write more, but I find I'm more motivated if I know folks are interested in a particular idea or problem.
Hi Everyone!
I am recent grad. Working on Robotics learning about new perception and planning algorithms. I have recently started learning about ReactJS and Django and looking forward to read more on it.
I believe in working collaboratively on new ideas, forming teams participating in Hackathons and working hard to achieve the targets.

Hello there :),
I am a Frontend Dev focused mainly on Angular ecommerce but currently I am giving React and Redux a try. Also my first blog post here ist about Redux.
My brother got me into web development and showed me put a website together in 4th grade with Adobe Dreamweaver :D From there on it progressed. I learned HTML, CSS, and PHP at first. Then also got in contact with C++, C# and, Java in School. During my apprenticeship I teached myself angular and wrote my exam in it. After one year a company picked me up and I learned Angular from professionals and I took a javascript course :D because my JS experience came fully from angular. At that company I learnes also about GraphQL and Sass styling setups for bigger projects.
Someone wrote in his post here that he learned that teaching/sharing knowledge helps you to become a better programmer. So I will start sharing things that could be of interest here :).
The past year i didn't code after work but this is subject to change. I want to invest more privat time to learn new cool stuff.
Hey everyone, great to be here! I'm a Boston College CS student from the Bay Area who loves startups and dev tools. Huge fan of all things music, outdoors, and f1, hope everyone's having a great week 🎉
Hello Everyone 👋. Hope everyone is with Good Health
I am a techie. Mostly intrested in designing and building IT infrastructure. Now, turn towards programming. I found a wonderful community dev.to from hactoberfest and I want to communicate and learn from them in my programming journey.
I am undergraduate and want to fill the gap between academics and how actually the developer work in a company.I think this is the best place to learn from Developers
So finally I am here..
I'm a newly minted AWS Community Builder (essentially an AWS user who shares a lot and helps people with AWS) and diving in to DEV.to for the first time. I'm trying to figure out which end is up so that I can post some helpful content eventually.
When not doing nerd stuff, I do different nerd stuff. As a hobby I restore old NASA control panels from mission control and re-animate them (usually by connecting to a Raspberry PI as the controller). Here's a fun example youtu.be/OWJDB2Bbg3k
Hey guys!
I've just joined this community to expand my CS knowledge and skills, I'm coming from a totally different branch, but I believe everything can be achievable with the right desire and will.

Hello friends! 👋🏻
I started to learn coding after Covid19 started to hit us in Germany. And with Covid19 i had a lot of free time, cause most of my costumers canceled their contracts (i am a self-employed 35year old happily married electrician). We are struggling a bit, now- cause the second wave is coming in. But we got some good support from my family!
I started with the FreeCodeCamp Curriculum in February. The JavaScript- Curriculum was tough for me(a bit scary, cause I didn't got it really), and I focusing more onto CSS&HTML with DevEd's online course at the moment. After i want to dive back into JavaScript.
Cause of my work and costumers, i have already some projects in the pipeline but i am to scared to start! I think my knowledge is not enough at the moment to start!
When do i know i can start?
What helped you guys to start?
thx

Hello friend 🌝
I'm learning web development and I'm excited about it.
Welcome friend!
Hi coders I’m Bruno, a 41 years old Portuguese dude that is learning web development for 2 years with the vision of becoming a coder + designer.
I’ve spent the last school year validating if I have in me what it needs to learn this new skill by attending a one year web development professional course and guess what? I’ve overcome my expectations by becoming the best in class. And don’t get me wrong. I’m aware of what I still need to learn and practice and crawl, before walk with the dream of running. Currently I’m attending a second course focused on nodeJS, reactJS and react native stack. It’s an intense next step that I believe will give me a good knowledge of this stack and also other fundamentals like SOLID principles.
Whel, long story short I’ve reborn and landed here at this community by a random link, checked a couple of articles and I’m feeling that I’ll came here on regular basis.
Are you still reading me? Uff! You are a brave coder.
Any opinions and tips are more than welcome.
And stay safe while they debug this world.
All the best from Lisbon
Bruno aka They Call Me Wolf
Hello everyone,
Thank you for this amazing community. I've learned a lot of things here. I am hoping to give back.
